Habibur Rahman Sohan Creates History with Fastest List A Century

Habibur Rahman Sohan entered his name into the record books with a stunning display of power-hitting in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL), smashing the fastest century ever recorded in Bangladesh’s List A cricket history.

The Legends of Rupganj opener reached his hundred in just 45 balls, breaking the previous national record for the quickest List A century by a Bangladeshi batter.

A Dominant Performance

From the very beginning, Sohan looked unstoppable. He took the attack to the bowlers, finding the boundary with remarkable ease and keeping the scoreboard moving at a breathtaking pace.

By attacking aggressively from the powerplay, he put the opposition under pressure and effectively took the game away from them.

The explosive opener eventually departed after scoring 130 runs from only 58 deliveries. His sensational knock included 8 fours and 13 sixes, while he maintained an incredible strike rate of 224.14.

At the time of his dismissal, Rupganj had already reached 174 runs in just 17 overs.

Sohan’s remarkable innings came to an end when he was caught by Enamul Hoque Ashiq off the bowling of Abdullah Al Mamun.
